Today I want to share these trees, from the Trees for Sale set. Some times even when dies are available to cut images out, it is nice to have a single layer, which when I am sending out lots of cards I prefer.
These trees are a 2 step stamp set. I stamped the body of the tree first having stamped off once using Shaded Spruce ink, then I stamped the detail of the tree also in Shaded Spruce but this time full strength.
Once the trees were done, I used a blending brush and Pool Party ink to add the color around the trees, and stamped the little snowflakes. The little sequin stars are from the sparkle and shine sequins in the annual catalog.
The final touch was to add a bit of the snowfall accents puff paint, and heat set it.
Sometimes when heating, the card stock can warp a bit, a good thing to do if that happens is to lay it flat with a larger acrylic block on top to weigh it down. Using a clear block will help you to remember the card is there. It worked for this card.
I will be sharing another card with you tomorrow.
