This month I have been busy with family moves and not too much stamping, but I did spend a little time in my workroom, creating and playing with ideas for Christmas cards. Today I want to share with you one of the cards-

This card was fun to make – I like coloring and with various shades of green blends (Soft Succulent, Just Jade, and Evening Evergreen) I colored in the leaves and boughs of the Festive Foliage background stamp which was stamped using Evening Evergreen ink. The card base is Soft Succulent.

*A quick tip here- Whenever I am going to create multiples of the same card, such as Christmas I always pull out my Stamparatus and find as many ways to use it as I possibly can in making the card to make the process quicker and easier. For this card I used it to stamp the background image.

To create the illusion of added layers without the layers, I pressed the edges of the card stock directly to the ink pad, I did this both with the focal layer as well as the thin strip that the greeting (from Tidings and Trimmings) is stamped on.

The stars were die cut using dies in the Tidings and Trimmings bundle. I used Gold foil to die cut the stars and gold metallic pearls to further tie in the gold.

Thanks for stopping by, I have lots more cards to share, so stayed tuned!

Happy Stamping,

Jan
