Today I want to share with you a card I made late last night. I love this Soft Seedlings set. All the work is done by the stamp, all you need to do is add ink. In the early fall I love seeing those trees where the leaves are all yellow and if the light catches it just right it looks like the sun is shining from in the tree. I don’t know what the leaves look like but for this card they would look like these Soft Seedling leaves.

I first stamped the leaves onto a piece of shimmery white card stock with the Daffodil Delight, then blended in some So Saffron ink for the background, in this photo you can see the layer behind the vellum. It was pretty but still needed something. Next I stamped the leaves in a different layout onto a piece of vellum the same size and set it aside to dry. Ok I was not patient enough, ink on vellum takes quite awhile to dry, so from a distance I added some heat on the lowest setting so it would not warp the vellum. Then I turned the vellum over, ink side down and blotted it a bit more. I added Tombow all purpose glue to the left side of the card front and adhered the vellum to the card front.

I added some ribbon on that edge just in case you could see any of the glue. Stamped the greeting from the same set and not I set it aside to completely dry and so I could look at it. So pretty.

I love that you can see the veins through the vellum and even on the card stock underneath.
