Today I want to share with you this card I made using the new Perfectly Penciled designer paper. The lines on this paper have a softer look – more like it was drawn with a soft lead pencil rather than a fine point pen, and there is even some shading, which makes it so much fun to color.

The paper has various floral designs on one side and geometric patterns on the other. All black and white, so waiting for you to add color -or not.

I started with the die cut strip ( from Paradise Palms) and thought I could use an edge of the designer paper up against it and so the lay out for this card was born. A bit of fussy cutting (ok a lot) was required to allow for the buds to be popped up off the card adding dimension. Love it!

I used glue dots and dimensionals to add different heights to the buds.

The flowers were colored with Stampin’Up! blends. I used the new “in color” Sweet Sorbet dark blend, and Mossy Meadow light blend was used for the stems and leaves.
