Today I want to share a card using the new Perched in a Tree bundle. I love how this die cuts out some notches and also leaves divots in the trees for coloring, making them birch trees. The bird is simple and can be any kind of bird you want to color, here, I used blending brushes with Daffodil Delight and Bashful Blue inks.
The birch tree was die cut on watercolor paper and I added crumb cake ink into the divots and along the edges of each of the trees with both a water painter and sponge daubers. I die cut several of the smaller leaves with Daffodil Delight card stock to set the bird on.
The birds eye is one of the small matte black dots. I used a piece of Rings of Love designer paper for the background and popped the birch trees up to give the scene depth.
