Today I am sharing a card that I made using the new Christmas Season, and Merriest Moments stamp sets. I wanted to create a background with the pinecones and boughs, so I stamped the pine cones first with Early Espresso ink -packing in as many as possible, then stamped the pine boughs using Evening Evergreen anywhere I saw white. I filled in the pine cones using a blending brush and Soft Suede ink after which I blended Soft Succulent ink over the entire piece.

I added a bit of Gold Shimmer ribbon, some Brushed Metallic cardstock to matte the greeting which I stamped with Evening Evergreen, and blended with the Soft Succulent -coming in from the edges so that the edges were darker. Rather than put metallic dots across the bottom, which I did not have enough on hand I just punched out the same Brushed Metallic cardstock with a standard office hole punch and adhered them to the front with glue dots.

I love dimension on cards but not so much when I am standing at the post office and they want to add more postage to the card because it is not flat. So once in awhile I make a bunch of flat cards. This one has a bit of dimension as the greeting is popped up but it still lies pretty flat.

That is it for today, I hope you are having a fabulous week.

Happy Stamping,

Jan
