This week I pulled out a new bundle to play with- Encircled in Friendship and die cut the pieces out to get a feel for what they each looked like in color. I die cut one of the pieces in Daffodil Delight because it looked a bit like the sun, and made me think about the heat we have had here over the weekend and into this week (our high here was 115 on Monday).
When I looked at this sun I created I decided that I would love a card where the sun was coming out from behind the clouds so I pulled out the Basic Border dies so I could create that break in the clouds. Next up was to use the Playful Alphabet for the greeting and I found the small “Wishing you” as part of the greeting Wishing you your best year yet from Best Year. I stamped the whole greeting onto a piece of scrap card stock and then cut out just the wishing you part of it. I adhered the top cloud and sun directly to the card base, but popped up the lower part of the cloud. I really like the way it turned out.
After making the Sunny Days card, I thought I would die cut another sun, and then created this fun hello card.
Here I also used the tree and birds from the Beauty in Friendship bundle, I put the foliage through the Painted Texture embossing folder to give it a bit of movement, and the “grass” I put through the hello embossing folder, so that I could put a greeting there without stamping one.
Thanks for stopping by,
Happy Stamping,
Jan
