Today I want to share with you a fun card. Earlier this year my grand daughter Zora and I took an online course in cookie decorating. It was fun, learning to make royal icing, and decorating our cookies, our skills have a long way to go, but when it comes to making paper cookies this was pretty easy.
You can see here, I used the kraft paper as the base of the card and as the “cookie” which I decorated with Basic White card stock die cut with to look like the cookie was decorated with a fine tip and some royal icing. Because the stamp set is the same pattern as the die cut, you could also stamp it and emboss with white -or any other color you might have on hand- even use heat and stick powder to emboss and put glitter on as the icing. Fun! I also stamped the detail of the cookie onto the Real Red layer using Versamark.
You can see that I made just 3 cookies, and cut one in half to look like there are more cookies there.
I stamped the greeting with Basic White ink and embossed with White embossing powder.
This set includes the snowflake, a bell, and ornament shaped stamps with dies, as well as a star shaped set of dies and some peppermint candies and assorted greetings. Lots of fun with this set.
That is all I have today, the July-December catalog goes live in just 6 days!
Thanks for stopping by,
Jan
