Today I want to share with you a card I made recently using Dandy Garden dies which coordinates with Garden Wishes found as a bundle in the current mini catalog and again in the next annual catalog (although it will not be bundled there)

I like to mix things up sometimes- here using dies in a way that let us focus on the negative space left behind, rather then the die cut piece.

I started with a strip wide enough to support these large dies, and in this case 2.5 inches wide by 4.25 long. I used shimmery white card stock so I could watercolor on it using Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay inks.
I die cut after I water colored, so it did need to dry completely so the cut would be clean. I used Tombow adhesive to adhere the tag completely down to the card. Finally stamped the greeting using Jet black Memento ink.
Now a sneak peek to share-

This card features Party Puffins – a new set in the 2021-2022 annual catalog. I stamped the gift wrapped fish all over the front of the card using Poppy Parade ink on Poppy Parade card stock.
Next I stamped and detail cut (aka fussy cutting) 2 of the puffins and 1 fish. The first Puffin I adhered to the card, the 2nd one, I used my snips to cut along the lines of the wing, then I tucked the fish underneath, and adhered it directly over the top of the first puffin.
The wing can be lifted to see the fish.
Have a great weekend and happy stamping,
Jan
