I think of this as a winter village domed shaker card. I’m not sure that I have ever heard the word Cloche. Have you?

Since my last name is House, I almost always buy the stamp set that has a house in it. But this is not just one house it is this lovely little village. I fell in love with this set, and this card when I first saw it. The colors, image, – really all of it, so I knew I was going to make it. I modified this card from the sample in the catalog, reducing the designer paper to 2 layers rather than 3.

It is hard to tell until you have the stamp set in hand that this image has 3 stamps. the first I stamped in Balmy blue stamped off once. The I stamped the outline in versamark and embossed with silver. The 3rd is the darker blue on all the buildings (which I actually just colored with a marker) I stamped this on a separate piece of shimmery white card stock and detail cut it out and glued it inside the space under the dome (cloche).

This really is a beautiful card, but not one I would make to mail (because of the dome) or to give to very many people, – well maybe just other stampers who could appreciate it for all the work that went into it.

I have another card to share using this set, which I also love but that will be for another day.
