Today I want to share a card using the Christmas Scottie Dog punch with you. I initially made this card using what turned out to be retired paper- super cute, but I don’t want to show you something you cannot get anymore. So plan B – pull out something new! I chose the small poinsettias pattern in the new Boughs of Holly designer paper because I love poinsettias and the smaller ones were more to scale with the Scottie dog.

I started with a Basic Black base- I know it is not traditionally a Christmas color but it is what made everything pop! So I also added a matte layer to each of the other pieces. I colored some of the smallest pearls from the Basic Pearl Jewels with a Daffodil Delight dark Blend, then added them to the center of each of the flowers that were showing.

I finally stamped and embossed the greeting from Trees for Sale set, when I am deciding on a greeting a lot of times I look for something that fits the space I want without having to fiddle with masking etc. This sentiment was the perfect size.

Have a great day and I will be back again with another cards to share tomorrow.
