Hello Stampers,
Today, I am sharing this fun pocket card. I used the Daffodil Dream bundle to create this card. Love it! The dies have lots of pieces for creating 3d daffodils but also pieces that die cut the stamped images, which is especially nice when there are cut outs within the stamped image and the die cuts them out. No exacto blades needed.
The paper “Daffodil Afternoon”- Oh my goodness! I love it so much! is available only during Sale a Bration and is available for FREE when you spend $50 but only while supplies last or until the end of February, which ever comes first. Get yours early in my online store.
Here is what I put in the pocket-
I had fun playing with what I could fit into the pocket, so first I made a couple of tags using the Tailor Made Tags dies, I layered a daffodil on one with a sentiment from Rainbow of Happiness, the other tag I put a butterfly on with a sentiment from the Sale a Bration set Special Greetings.
I felt it needed something else so I created the pull out, used another piece of the Daffodil Afternoon paper and stamped another sentiment from the Special Greetings set directly on the paper.
Inside the card I stamped Happy Birthday (also from Special Moments) but did not take a photo.
It’s been years since I made a pocket card, so this was fun. All you need to do is cut a piece of designer paper, cut to the size you want on the front of the card, here I chose 3.75×5, then using your paper trimmer cut it at an angle. You have to do this twice to create the 2 angles needed for the pocket. I used tear and tape around the outside edges to adhere it to the base card – but first adhere the top angle to the lower one, being careful not to have any adhesive where you want the pocket to be open, then put the tear and tape on and adhere to card base.
All you need to do then is fill the pocket- you can put almost anything flat in there- photos, tags, chocolate ( ok, I know it is not really flat but I think a small square of chocolate would work).
Have a great day, thank you for stopping by, and I will be back again tomorrow with another fun card to share!
