Today I want to share with you a card featuring one of my most favorite flowers. Tulips. The Flowering Fields Suite in the Jan-June mini catalog is all about tulips, and tulip fields even including iconic Dutch windmills. Today I am using just the flowering tulips bundle.

The dies that are part of this bundle are different and oh so fun to play with, because some of them have score lines that allow you to fold the sides in, almost like a hug.

I used all 3 of the folding tulips on this card, The tulip bud folds from both the left and right sides, the middle tulip also folds in from both the left and right sides and then the final tulip has just one fold over from the left.

I used a piece of the Flowering Fields designer paper in the background, embossed a pieced of Basic White and then played with the tulips- I die cut a bunch of pieces and maybe added too many leaves at the base, but it is certainly what the tulips in my yard look like- lots of leaves with just one flower.

I have so many fond memories of going out to the tulip fields near me. I remember having a day where my grandmother, my mom, myself and my daughter -4 generations, all spent a day walking through the fields, and my grandmother purchasing a bulb for me, and even now more than 30 years later it still blooms every year.

These fun flowers are the perfect addition to your (paper) garden. You can find these tulips in my online store.

Thanks for stopping by, I will be sharing another new idea with you tomorrow.
