Hello Stampers,
Today’s card is a really simple water color card. To create this card I used the new Flowering Rain Boots (without the boots)
I stamped the row of tulips across the bottom edge of the card front. It is a 2 step process, first the leaves and stems then the tulips – this allowed me to use the colors I wanted to use Ole Olive for the stems and leaves and Calypso Coral for the tulips. After stamping each of these I pulled out my medium water painter and just went over the stamped areas -first the green, filling in some of the background then the coral giving each of the tulips a bit of a halo.
After letting the flowers dry a bit I used some Balmy Blue and the flat water painter to add some color to the sky. Let that dry then stamp the sentiment. Oops almost forgot I also went back and added a touch of wink of stella to some of the tulips. Love me some sparkle.
