Hello Stampers!
Today I want to share with you another kind of background that uses smaller images in the stamp set. For this card I used the new Flowing Flowers stamp set. I purchased this set, not only because of the beautiful “distinktive” flowers but also it has a great assortment of sentiments.
Distinktive images can be found throughout the SU! catalog and is a trademark design that gives each stamped image layers of color with just one inking. I love these stamps- see what other images you can find that are Distinktive too. Shop for this and other Distinktive sets in my online store.
To create the background I chose Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Cinnamon Cider for my colors. I stamped primarily using the 2nd generation technique (ink, stamp off the card once then without re-inking stamp onto card) I did this using all 3 colors using the small trio of flowers stamp. It is busy but for some reason it still works (at least for me)
I stamped the large flower in the Polished Pink that added a little Cinnamon Cider to the edges onto a scrap of paper then colored it in using the Fresh Freesia light blend. The leaves were stamped using the Cinnamon Cider.
Finally, I added a strip of Very Vanilla card stock with the greeting and popped the flower and leaves up to add dimension
I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by, I will be back again tomorrow with another card to share.
